I came across your blog from the etsy blogger...Hi! I came across your blog from the etsy bloggers street team forum :)

I just wanted to stop by and say that I absolutely don't think you're crazy or abnormal for how you grew up. My family grew up pretty similarly to you (though our house wasn't as old). We had a ghost that lived in our house. I wasn't afraid of it but I knew he was there. We have pictures of him from my slumber party when I was 6. My mom has always had an uncanny "knowledge" of things - she doesn't know HOW she knows things, but she'll just randomly know something and not know where she heard it. While I don't have that, I do talk to ghosts in my dreams. Almost every place I've lived in has been haunted or visited. We have visitors at our current house, but they come and go. My son (who's 3) has talked about them before. I don't tell him they're ghosts, but I talk to him about what he's seen. I'm also struggling with what to do...tell him or not. Good luck with whatever you choose to tell your children!Missiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930133046763092700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8227488652014452074.post-45124215623001124512009-05-19T12:45:00.000-07:002009-05-19T12:45:00.000-07:00Not only up for the visit, now I'm REALLY looking ...Not only up for the visit, now I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

You could kind of say spirits are just like us, and generally when they're a benign presence they'll respect your wishes if you ask them to leave you alone.

Can you tell this is something *I* grew up with as normal? :-)

One of these days I'll get around to sharing my own "ghost stories".Irishembihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10479794874945316072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8227488652014452074.post-21854173861708620392009-05-11T00:51:00.000-07:002009-05-11T00:51:00.000-07:00That's awesome Jackie, I'd never heard you mention...That's awesome Jackie, I'd never heard you mention anything and always wondered because your house has such a history. It's also interesting to see Abigayle grow up experiencing it in a bit of a different way than we did at Mom and Dad's because we were a bit older when we moved in. Explaining it as she gets older will be tough though... I know I had a hard time in school when I started talking about ghosts.amandaleenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11990484523902021920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8227488652014452074.post-40318668637379606772009-05-10T13:28:00.000-07:002009-05-10T13:28:00.000-07:00i am the same as you. i've had alot of experiences...i am the same as you. i've had alot of experiences with "ghosts" and i believe they are everywhere. most i have come across are there to save, or help, or protect us. some day i'll tell you some of my stories. they are wild. but yea i also agree with you on how animals ands kids can see them better, and how people who believe, are the people who experience theses things. and the reason people who don't believe don't understand, or experiance it, is because their minds aren't open to the possibilities. or will just come up with an "excuse" as to why the door opened...Arieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05883779358096614002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8227488652014452074.post-73358082186168514532009-05-10T08:27:00.000-07:002009-05-10T08:27:00.000-07:00I hope so, Mylene! But I think I'll feel better at least knowing some possibilities of who they may be :)
I too, am glad that Abigayle hasn't really shown a fear, and I really want to make sure it stays that way. I've seen no reasons why we should be afraid - I want it to be something she can accept and (at least try to)understand. There's no need for fear.Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11694936802583343658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8227488652014452074.post-40133825496949755462009-05-09T08:49:00.000-07:002009-05-09T08:49:00.000-07:00Haha, I'm definatly still up for a visit ;)
